Here is where you’ll find all the information you will need for the upcoming Rest of the World’s tournament taking place the same day as Worlds at Gencon
If you can’t make it along to Gencon to do things officially (and happen to be in the UK) then come along and fight it out for the unofficial world title
Time and Place
Date: 5th August 2023
Where: Firestorm Games Swindon
121 Victoria Road, Swindon, SN1 3BH – there is parking nearby in Hooper’s Place, which is a pay and display
Start Time: Check in from 1030, to start around 1100
The event will be swiss rounds only. The number of participants will determine the number of rounds

Rounds are “best of One” and to be played over 35 minutes.
If the game goes to time then the current player will finish their turn and then the opposing player will get 1 more turn
We will not be running any cuts – the leader-board will be based on Swiss Round performance. Matching performance will be decided by “Strength of Schedule” as determined by Challonge’s algorithms. (Better check your Buchholtz)
Entry Requirements
The tournament will be run through Challonge, so you will need an account and to sign up on the event page. There is a $12.75 (approx £10) charge which will cover the cost of the table plus some extra for prizes
Team Building Format
This will be a competitive Modern event with no bans

There will be a prize for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, plus I am trying to get hold of some promos for participation prizes
